If you have time time to offer as a volunteer, these are plenty of opportunities, both for sanctuary seekers who want to fill their time and make a contribution to the wider community, and for established local residents who want to help asylum seekers and refugees in the city.

Also please make it clear at what times and locations you would be available. We will get back to you as soon as possible and put you in touch with our partner organisations who need particular volunteer help.

You can also help by

• Offering to join our core management group or Experts by Experience advisory group
• Helping us manage our website and social media
• Personal support such as making telephone calls, helping people to read letters, accompanying someone to the GP.  (British Red Cross)
• Help with English : at various Talk English classes.
• Offering a spare room or a property you own for a night or longer for asylum seekers, through Refugees at Home.
• Help with organising sport and cultural events involving asylum seekers and refugees.
• Donating , furniture and household goods, clothing, dry food  (British Red Cross)  but also bicycles and cycling equipment.
