FareShare Donation

We’d like to thank FareShare for their generous contribution of food to Muslim asylum seekers in the Preston area in preparation for Ramadan.

FareShare is a national charity born out of the belief that no good food should go to waste, especially when people are going hungry.  They work with over 500 food business to take on food that is safe to consume but not able to be sold.  The food is passed to nearly 10,000 charities, either for the food to be directly passed onto people in need or to be prepared into meals by organisations such as hostels, breakfast and lunch clubs.  In 2018 they redistributed enough food for 36.7 million meals across the country.

The Lancashire & Cumbria branch is based in Recycling Lives in Preston and run by Jeff Green.  Jeff is looking for both volunteers to help and charities who may be in need.  If you would like to get involved please email him on [email protected]
