I’ve just signed a petition calling on the Home Secretary to #LiftTheBan on people seeking asylum being able to work. Everyone should have the right to provide for themselves and their families. Join me and #StandUpForAsylum!
We would love to involve more of the asylum seekers and refugees living in the Preston area in these sessions so please tell people you know about them and either send us their email addresses or pass on the zoom invitations and do what you can to help them get online with us.

REFUGEE WOMEN - A request to take part in a survey
My name is Carine van der Boor and I am a fourth year Psychology PhD candidate at the University of Liverpool. Over the last three years I have been working together with refugee women on the development of a mental health and well-being measure that is specific to refugee women residing in the UK.
We are looking to recruit roughly 400 adult refugee women, who live in the UK, speak English, and are able to fill in an online survey. Unfortunately, it is currently limited to online access due to COVID19.
The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete, and participants will be shown an information sheet and a consent form before they can access the survey.
I would like to reassure you that the project has received ethical approval from the Health Life Sciences Research Ethics Committee at the University of Liverpool (Approval Reference number: 7561).
