Preston City of Sanctuary is part of a national movement dedicated to building a culture of welcome for people seeking sanctuary in the UK. Our aim is to bring together people and organisations across the city to create a more welcoming, open, and fair Preston for everyone. We have built a strong network of volunteers, professionals, statutory, voluntary, and faith organisations, working alongside asylum seekers and refugees who live in our city. Through collaboration, dialogue, and shared opportunities, we support new citizens and our multicultural communities through a two-way integration process. We regularly hold open network meetings, events, and celebrations to strengthen connections and promote inclusion across Preston.
